As Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church I would like to welcome you to the Emmanuel Experience.

We have a small yet vibrant congregation trying to continue to learn what God expects of us as His people. We have been struggling since Katrina, but our hearts are still filled with a fire and love for the Lord. We sit in a significant mission field with the Air Force Base on one side and people who need to know Christ all around us. It is a challenge to be sure, but one in which God has placed us with the commission to make disciples while promising His help in doing so.

If you have not yet experienced the joy of knowing Jesus and the forgiveness  and new start in life he offers, you can find help discovering that here at Emmanuel.

"In the last days, " God says, "I will pour out my Spirit on all people . . . And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. "  Acts 2 :17,21

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. " John 6:35

If you are already a Christian and are looking for a place to serve and grow , you can find that here also. If you are looking for a place to “sit” and “soak up” a church experience as a spectator, you may find better places to do that. But if you are looking for a place to roll up your Christian Servant’s sleeves, get to work and learn what God has in store for you and your family, we might be where you need to be. Consider that it is in the doing of the work of God that the blessings really lie.  Remember, we are like the “Dem Bones” brought back to life as described in the Bible:

He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live? "

I said, "Sovereign LORD, you alone know. "

Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’"Ezekiel 37:3-6

That can happen in your life and thereby in our church should the Gracious God of Creation lead you our way.

Be Blessed in Christ where ever He leads you.
